Japanese Animation, aka "Anime," is sweeping the nation. Children of all ages are talking about Anime with their friends at lunch tables. Mangas, comic books about Anime, are being bought online or at the nearby bookstore, they are even checked out at the local library.

Today, Anime is a recongnized media and viewed by many people. Anime has been popular not only with children but adults as well. Many people young and old join in Anime conventions and cosplay. Cosplay is is short for costume play that centers on dressing as characters from Anime or Manga.

This site will explain the history of Anime. When did Anime begin to exist? Why was it created? How did it come to be influential for people?
